Steve Page, the president and general manager of Sonoma Raceway, is one of three finalists for the 2018 Comcast Community Champion of the Year Award, created to recognize philanthropic efforts by individuals within the NASCAR industry.

Page's work with the Sonoma chapter of Speedway Children's Charities and his efforts to support local residents affected by last October's wildfires were among the factors in his nomination.

Page opened up the raceway to provide refuge for fire evacuees, hosting more than 100 campers while also serving meals and sorting donations. Later, the raceway donated more than 1,100 tickets to allow survivors to attend the 2018 Toyota/Save Mart 350 race.

The other two nominees are NASCAR drivers Joey Logano and Ryan Newman.
