A detached garage and the classic car it contained were a complete loss after a fire Thursday night in Healdsburg, officials said.

Around 6:21 p.m., a neighbor called 911 to report a structure fire on Alley Two near Fitch Street, Healdsburg Fire Department Division Chief and Fire Marshal Lance Macdonald said.

When firefighters arrived, they found the garage and a 1960s Jaguar that was inside fully engulfed.

Healdsburg Fire Department crews were able to extinguish the fire in about five minutes with assistance from Sonoma County Fire District, Northern Sonoma County Fire Protection District and Cal Fire, Macdonald said. They remained at the scene for a couple hours to mop up.

No one was injured and no additional structures were affected, including the main home, which was unoccupied at the time of the fire, he said.

The department is still estimating the cost of damage.

The cause is still unknown, but officials do not believe it was suspicious, Macdonald added.
