More sales, smaller loss from Truett-Hurst

Net sales increased 19.1 percent to $25.8 million for the fiscal year.|

Healdsburg wine company Truett-Hurst Inc. on Wednesday reported a strong gain in annual sales and a smaller loss per share for the fiscal year ending June 30.

Net sales increased 19.1 percent to $25.8 million for the 12-month period, compared to a year ago. That included $20 million in sales to wholesalers, an increase of 19.1 percent from a year earlier, and $5.8 million in sales directly to consumers, a jump of 19.3 percent.

The net loss for the year amounted to 6 cents a share, compared to a loss of 35 cents a year earlier.

The company’s stock price closed Wednesday at $1.90 a share, up 1 cent.
