Olivia Newton-John, Mavis Staples plan Santa Rosa shows
Tickets for three recently announced shows at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, including concerts starring singers Mavis Staples and Olivia Newton-John, go on sale at noon Friday, Jan. 26.
Legendary soul and gospel singer Mavis Staples will perform at 8 p.m. April 27 at the center, with tickets priced from $45 to $59. Known both for her solo work and her career with her family's Staples Singers band, Staples has been recording and performing since 1950. Her newest album is titled “If All I Was Was Black.”
Singer, songwriter and actress Olivia Newton-John goes onstage at 8 p.m. March 1 at Luther Burbank Center. With more than a million in record sales and four Grammy Awards to her credit, Newton-John's hits include “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” “Physical,” “Have You Ever Been Mellow” and “Summer Nights.”
Tickets cost from $59 to $79.
Broadway and TV magician Adam Trent will present “The Magic of Adam Trent” at the center at 8 p.m. June 28, with tickets priced from $29 to $49.
