The Space Shuttle Atlantis awaits launch on Thursday evening from Pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Severe weather earlier in the day caused lighting to strike twice near the pad, but the Engineering Review Board determined that the strikes had caused no ill effects.
