Santa Rosa police are looking for two men suspected of robbing a taxi driver at gunpoint early Wednesday.

The robbery was reported about 2:40 a.m. in the 2900 block of Bay Village Circle, Sgt. Lisa Banayat said.

Two men who hailed the cab in San Rafael threatened to shoot the driver and took his money, she said. The men then fled on foot.

After the robbery, the driver returned to the spot in San Rafael where the men said their car had become disabled on the freeway. It turned out that vehicle had been reported stolen, Banayat said.
