Man found dead near crashed vehicle in Kelseyville

Lake County deputies investigating what they deemed suspicious circumstances.|

Lake County authorities Monday were investigating the death of a man whose body was found near a crashed vehicle in Kelseyville.

The body was found late Sunday on the ground outside of a vehicle in an orchard near the Scully Packing Co. on Stone Drive, Lake County Sheriff’s Lt. Steve Brooks said.

The Sheriff’s Office received a report of a man on the ground at 10:16 p.m.

Deputies determined the man was dead “under suspicious circumstances,” Brooks said.

The vehicle appeared to have been involved in a crash.
