Santa Rosa police Thursday afternoon found a 14-year-old child who had been missing since the day before, officials said.

Police late Wednesday night first reported they were looking for Journee Henderson, who was apparently not familiar with the area, and asked for the public’s help finding her.

Henderson was last seen at about 7 p.m. Wednesday near Fulton Road south of Guerneville Road wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and socks but without shoes, Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Jeneane Kucker said.

Just before 2 p.m. Thursday, Kucker announced Henderson had been found and was safe. It wasn’t clear where or how authorities found her.

No more details about the case were available.
