Ukiah police have located a missing man who witnesses reported was assaulted and kidnapped Thursday night during what police suspect was a gang-related attack.

The unidentified man, located at a Ukiah home Friday afternoon, had several stab wounds but denied being kidnapped, according to Ukiah police.

A man who reportedly was with that victim during the assault suffered serious injuries during the attack. He was taken to Ukiah Valley Medical Center for treatment of his stab wounds but has since been released, police said.

Most of the suspects involved with the incident were apprehended early Friday morning following a high-speed chase that led law enforcement from Ukiah to Sonoma County. Evidence linking the vehicle’s occupants to the assault was located inside the vehicle, police said.

The driver of the vehicle, Roman Jose Soto, 25, of Point Arena, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, criminal conspiracy and possessing stolen property. He also was charged with a second count of assault with a dangerous weapon for colliding with a police vehicle during the pursuit, as well as reckless vehicular evasion and violating probation, according to police.

Ryan Adam Raya, 26, and a 16-year-old boy, both of Ukiah, were charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, possessing stolen property, and criminal conspiracy.

Police said the investigation is continuing and asked that anyone with information call the Ukiah Police Department at 463-6262.
