Readers pick favorite 'Sonoma Summer Sizzle' photo

The readers have voted and picked a photo taken at the Sonoma-Marin Fair as their favorite image for the inaugural week of the Press Democrat's "Sonoma Summer Sizzle" promotion.

Reader Joni M. of Petaluma submitted the photo of the fair taken at dusk filled with a gamut of rich colors. "I like to take pictures that aren't staged, that just capture the moment. We were just walking down the midway at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma and as my husband, Max, was checking out the food vendors, I noticed the sky and majestic colors that so brilliantly lit it up." wrote Joni.

"I probably took pictures over a 15 minute time frame at different angles with this one just capturing all the vibrant colors for a fabulous back drop to our carnival."
