A silver Toyota Solara collided with a school bus at the intersection of Santa Rosa and Sonoma avenues in Santa Rosa Tuesday morning.

Both vehicles were towed away. The school bus, which did not have any students on board, was damaged on its passenger side. The Toyota had significant front-end damage. The driver of the Toyota was taken to the hospital as a precaution but did not appear to suffer any injuries, Santa Rosa police said.

The crash took place around 8:40 a.m. in the middle of the intersection. The bus was headed northbound on Santa Rosa Avenue; it’s not yet clear what direction the car was headed when it ran into the bus.

Neither speeding nor drugs or alcohol are considered a factor.
