Grass fire burns 10 acres near Willits

A fire burned about 10 acres of grassland in the Willits area Monday afternoon, according to Cal Fire.

The fire, reported just before 4 p.m. on Eastside Road near Valley Road, was under control by 5:30 p.m., Cal Fire said.

Structures were threatened but firefighters were able to guard them from damage, fire officials said.
