Petaluma police Thursday released a photo of a tall, young man who a day earlier allegedly stole two iPhones and fled from an eastside wireless retailer.

The young man entered the AT&T wireless store at 301 South McDowell Blvd. about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday. He spoke with an employee about phone plans and later walked to a display case, where he “proceeded to grab two iPhones, rip them from their security cords, and then fled the store,” according to a police press release.

The young man went to the parking lot, got into a white vehicle and sped away.

He was described as approximately 20 years old, 6 feet 3 inches tall and 165 pounds, wearing blue jeans and a pink T-shirt with a Mickey Mouse logo printed on it.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information regarding the man’s identity is encouraged to call Officer Sutherland, 778-1217.
