Smoke over Petaluma from controlled burn

A plume of smoke over the Lakeville area Saturday is from an agricultural burn on private property, a Cal Fire spokesman said.

The landowner notified fire officials of his intent to conduct the burn, said Louis Karlow, a communications operator at Cal Fire’s regional headquarters at St. Helena.
