Series of small earthquakes rattles Bay Area
SAN RAMON — A cluster of small earthquakes rattled cities east of San Francisco for a third day.
On Thursday morning a magnitude-3.2 quake struck near San Ramon at 6:10 a.m. according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
That quake was at a depth of almost six miles along the Calaveras Fault.
There were no immediate reports of damage, officials said.
The quake was followed at 6:21 a.m. by a 2.5 magnitude tremor about six miles north of Vacaville, California.
The survey reports there have been several dozen tiny quakes in the area since Tuesday morning.
