Author Mitch Albom comes to Santa Rosa

Mitch Albom, who took the world by storm when he shared his memoir about time he spent with dying professor, will speak Thursday in Santa Rosa.|

Mitch Albom, bestselling author of “Tuesdays With Morrie” and “Five People You Meet in Heaven” -- both adapted as successful television films -- speaks 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Santa Rosa High School auditorium.

Albom has written six consecutive number-one New York Times bestsellers. His books have collectively sold more than 35 million copies in 42 languages. Albom’s “For One More Day” and “Have a Little Faith” also have been adapted for TV.

In 2013, Warner Bros. optioned the film rights to Albom’s “The First Phone Call” from Heaven for a feature film release.

The author is touring with his new novel, “The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto,” about the “the greatest guitar player the world has ever heard.” His Santa Rosa appearance is presented by Copperfield’s Books.

Tickets cost $10 each, and are available at Copperfield’s stores and online at copperfieldsbook.com, as well as at the door.
