Driver in fatal Geysers Road truck crash was Santa Rosa man

The dump truck hit a tree, then rolled 200 feet down an embankment Monday.|

A 54-year-old Santa Rosa man was killed Monday when his dump truck crashed off a rock quarry road near Cloverdale, according to the CHP.

Bryan Fletcher Hurt died Monday morning after his Peterbilt truck crashed at the Syar Industries mining site on Geysers Road.

Hurt had been headed down ?a steep dirt road when the truck ran off a lane, hit a tree ?and rolled about 200 feet down ?a grassy embankment. He ?wasn’t wearing his seat belt ?and was thrown from the truck, the CHP said. Hurt died at the scene.

Hurt worked for V. Dolan Trucking, a Syar official said. His employer did not return a call for comment.
