A construction truck crashed into a power pole Thursday morning off Lakeville Highway south of Petaluma, knocking out electricity and tying up traffic.

The crash around at 6:48 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 116 and Stage Gulch Road did not involve injuries, according to preliminary reports.

According to the Highway Patrol website, a Ghilotti construction truck crossed over double yellow lines and hit a PG&E pole, causing an outage in the area.

The truck was apparently traveling in the northbound lanes, just north of Ernie Tin Barn.

The truck landed in a ditch, but the driver was reported to have gotten out of the vehicle.

The Highway Patrol set up one-way traffic controls to remove the vehicle.
