Police seek suspects in armed robbery at a downtown Santa Rosa apartment

Residents of a Mendocino Avenue apartment building told police they were held at gunpoint.|

Police Friday were investigating an armed robbery reported at a downtown Santa Rosa apartment building.

Residents at the Rosenberg Building on Mendocino Avenue at Fourth Street told police two men slipped in behind them as they were entering a unit in the six-story building and held them at gunpoint, Sgt. Jon Wolf said.

Both intruders had guns, and they took money and miscellaneous other items then left, Wolf said. Either one of the victims or another person int he building called police to report the holdup at 5:57 p.m.

Wolf said police had no suspects as of late Friday. Officers interviewed the victims, processed the scene and searched the area.
