An overturned cement truck on Highway 101 near Healdsburg snarled northbound traffic Wednesday for six hours as emergency crews worked to remove it.

The first call about the crash came in at 11:52 a.m., a news release from the CHP said.

The fully loaded truck overturned into the center divide while traveling north on Highway 101, just north of the Central Healdsburg on-ramp, trapping the driver inside, CHP said. The driver, who appeared to be in her 40s, was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital conscious with minor to moderate injuries, CHP Officer Juan Leon said.

The driver told officials at the scene the truck’s front left tire blew out, causing her to swerve into the center divide and take out “a bunch of guardrail,” Leon said.

The fast lanes in both directions were initially closed, although the southbound lane was reopened about 12:45 p.m. The northbound fast lane reopened just after 6 p.m.
