The California Highway Patrol identified three people Wednesday involved in a Highway 116 crash near Forestville that a day earlier snarled morning traffic.

A gravel truck, Nissan Maxima sedan and Jeep collided just before 7 a.m. Tuesday, just north of Guerneville Road, blocking traffic for about 45 minutes.

All were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with injuries.

The driver of the tractor-trailer rig was identified as Ronald Peters, 51, of Occidental. Gregory Byrum, 56, of Guerneville, was driving the Nissan, and Ryan Genung, 29, of Santa Rosa, was in the Jeep.

CHP Lt. Diana Johnson said the cause of the crash remained under investigation. Updates on the drivers’ conditions was not immediately available.
