Man arrested after fatal shooting in Ukiah

The victim was killed at a vineyard property in Ukiah.|

One man was killed and a suspected shooter was detained Monday after a noontime shooting in Ukiah, Mendocino County sheriff’s officials said.

The shooting occurred at a property in the 200 block of Perkins Street, a county pocket within city limits, Capt. Greg Van Patten said. The property includes a vineyard and rental housing, the captain said.

The shooter, an adult male, remained at the scene and was interviewed by detectives Monday afternoon, Van Patten said.

No more details were available Monday night.
