Sebastopol man admits to murdering parents in sword attack

A Sebastopol man who stabbed his mother and father to death in 2015 pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of murder, the District Attorney’s Office said.

Nathan Alexander Wilson, 35, admitted the slayings of David Wilson, 66, and Adrianne Chapin, 60, in their Sexton Road home. Wilson, who lived on the property, struggled for years with mental health issues.

He was arrested the day of the slayings in Mendocino County. Investigators said he used a sword to kill his parents.

Under the terms of his plea, Wilson will be sentenced March 3 to 40 years to life in prison. He did not admit special circumstances for multiple murders that would have prevented him from some day being released on parole.
