Car crashes into flood control channel in Santa Rosa

A car late Tuesday crashed into a flood control channel near the intersection of Colgan and Baker avenues in Santa Rosa.

Emergency responders received the call about 9:15 p.m.

Early reports said the driver fled the scene.

One occupant was in the vehicle when law enforcement arrived. Firefighters used ladders to help the occupant escape from the channel.
