SAN FRANCISCO - Authorities say they have arrested three men who allegedly beat a ride-hailing driver who was attacked by a group of dirt bike riders on a San Francisco highway.

The California Highway Patrol said Friday officers arrested 33-year-old Derwayne Johnson, 25-year-old Gabriel Rodriguez and 19-year-old Jarrell Williams Jr. in the beating of Alex Quintana, of Modesto.

The CHP says the three San Francisco residents were arrested Wednesday and booked into the San Francisco County jail on charges including assault with a deadly weapon, battery, vandalism, possession of stolen property, and possession of a controlled substance.

Quintana said the March attack began when he tried to inch around the dirt bikers, who were blocking traffic. He said the biker smashed his mirrors and a window and when he confronted them, they kicked and beat him.
