A former Sonoma Valley Boys and Girls Club official charged with molesting three boys agreed today to postpone the start of his trial until January.

Paul “Dwayne” Kilgore, 69, was athletic director at the club for a decade before resigning in 2013. He’s accused of molesting the boys, all under 14, during trips to swimming pools, a popular arcade and his own house.

His trial was set to begin this morning but could not go forward because defense investigators are busy with another trial, his lawyer, Lynnette Brown, told Judge Jamie Thistlethwaite.

The judge agreed to reschedule it for Jan. 26, with a trial readiness appearance Jan. 3.

Kilgore remains in custody in lieu of $1 million bail. He was arrested just over a year ago after a member of Parkpoint Health Club in Healdsburg reported seeing him in a hot tub and showering with two boys, ages 11 and 12.

Three boys later testified against Kilgore at a preliminary hearing.

Kilgore was held to answer on six felony counts carrying 25 years to life in prison.
