No arrests in Santa Rosa kidnapping, sexual assault case
SANTA ROSA — Police have not yet made any arrests in connection with the kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman who says she was held captive for three weeks.
KTVU reports (http://bit.ly/1BGdQN1 ) that investigators searched the rural property last Friday and detained at least two men.
Despite the raid, no one has been arrested. Investigators said that could change.
The 22-year-old woman said she was abducted at gunpoint by three men the Roseland area of Santa Rosa.
She escaped last Wednesday through an open door.
Sonoma County Sheriff's Sgt. Cecile Focha says she told police that she was held captive in the huge gated compound, beaten and sexually assaulted.
Police said the woman had bruising and "numerous injuries" consistent with being beaten and sexually assaulted.
A friend took her to the police. Police didn't say how the woman contacted the friend.
