Three teenage males were shot and wounded Tuesday night while walking along a road in Ukiah and authorities were searching for three suspects, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office said.

Two of the victims are 17 and the third is 18. They were shot in the chest, leg and groin areas and treated at local hospitals, Lt. Shannon Barney said in a press release.

The victims were uncooperative, and the shooting appears to be gang-related, he said.

Deputies responded at 6:39 p.m. to a report of gunfire at the intersection of Portlock Lane and Lake Mendocino Drive, Barney said. It was unknown if the suspects were in a vehicle or on foot, and how many were involved in the shooting.

Investigators asked anyone with information about the incident to call 707-463-4086 or 707-234-2100.
