Upcoming garden workshops around Sonoma County
ROHNERT PARK: Learn how to graft trees
Sebastopol Master Gardeners John Bramfitt and Fred Revetria will show you how to turn one tree into many through grafting during a free workshop Jan. 10.
The pair will unlock the mystery behind grafting different varieties of fruit onto a single compatible rootstock. By grafting several varieties of fruits onto just one apple, pear or peach tree, the home gardener can enjoy a continuous harvest of fruits, with none going to waste,” Revetria said.
It will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Rohnert Park Regional Library, 6250 Lynne Conde Way. For more information visit sonomamastergardeners.com.
