SRJC Cafe and Bakery open for summer

The SRJC Culinary Cafe & Bakery has opened for the summer session on Wednesdays through Fridays at 1670 Mendocino Ave., across from the main campus.

At the culinary cafe, students prepare, cook and serve a lunch menu of seasonal salads, soups, sandwiches, pizzas, entrees and desserts from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Reservations: 522-2796.

The bakery serves a variety of pastries, cookies and artisan breads made by students, which can be enjoyed between 7:30 and 10 a.m. in the cafe dining room. The summer selections include tarts and pies made with seasonal fruit, and a variety of specialty cakes.

Both bakery and cafe menu items can be purchased for take-out until 2 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan foods are available on both the bakery and cafe menus.
