Spoonbar in Healdsburg showcases the Art of the Plate

Potter Jered Nelson will share the story behind his thoughtfully crafted bowls, cups and plates this Sunday.|

Spoonbar Executive Chef Louis Maldonado will team up with Jered Nelson, a handcrafter of exquisite dinnerware, for a demonstration of the art of plating at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at the H2Hotel Green Room and Outdoor Lawn.

Nelson will talk about how he thoughtfully designs and crafts the bowls, cups and plates, using a potters wheel and a kiln, while Maldonado will demonstrate his artistic plating techniques.
