Hart’s Desire, 2014 Russian River Valley Viognier, 14.4%, $20. Aromas and flavors of honey, peach and tangerine. Lingering finish. Very aromatic.
Balletto Vineyards, 2014 Russian River Valley Pinot Gris, 13.8%, $18. A refreshing pinot gris with bright lime, lemon and white nectarine. Pinpoint balance. Well-crafted.
King Estate, 2014 Oregon Pinot Gris, 13.5%, $16. A citrusy pinot gris with a touch of mango. This bottling could have brighter acid, but it’s lovely just the same.
La Petite Perriere, 2014 France Sauvignon Blanc, 12.5%, $9. A gorgeous sauvignon blanc with mineral, ripe melon and a hint of jalapeño. Tangy Finish.
Gruner, 2014 Austria Gruner Veltliner, 12.5%, $14. A tasty quaffer with bright citrus notes - lemon and lime - with stone fruit and mineral in the mix. Bright acidity. Crisp finish.
