Arista, 2014 Mononi Vineyard, Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, 14.9%, $75. This pinot noir is drop dead gorgeous with deep cherry flavors and notes of cola and smoke. It’s generous, packed with fruit, a touch earthy and has great intensity. It’s a knockout.

Marimar Estate, 2013 Cristina Don Miguel Vineyard, Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, 13.9%, $65. Aromas and flavors of red and black fruit, toast and a hint of clove. Bright acidity. Great balance. A savory pinot.

Porter Creek, 2014 Fiona Hill Vineyard, Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, 13.9% $46. A fleshy pinot with notes of berry, herb and pepper. Supple mouth-feel. Lingering finish. Balanced.

Carlisle, 2015 Montafi Ranch, Sonoma County Russian River Valley Zinfandel, 15%, $47. A zin with depth and gorgeous fruit. Weighted to red fruit – cherry with an edgy note of cranberry. Nice length. Well crafted. Striking.

Arietta, 2014 On The White Keys, California White Wine, 14.9%, $63. This is a gorgeous white and what makes it a standout is its depth of flavors. Notes of grapefruit, mineral and a quench of lime. It’s vibrant. Top rate.
