By mid-summer, restaurant openings usually calm down a bit, but not this year. We're in the midst of a restaurant ka-boom, with more than a dozen recent and soon-to-be-opened spots throughout the county. Biteclub has already been on the scene for many, but here are a few that you might not have already heard about.

Santa Rosa

Habit Burger: Much- awaited charbroiled burger chain comes north with double charburger, portobella burger, malted milkshakes and even a seared ahi tuna sandwich that's a welcome addition to the fast food lineup. Habit Burgers have already opened at Graton Resort and Casino and In Petaluma. 2005 Cleveland Ave., Santa Rosa (near Coddingtown Mall). 707-230-6744, habitburger.com.

Still to come: Jade Room, a wine bar and oysterette downtown.

Updated: Opening in early August, Stockhome, Swedish-inspired street food and Saturday candy.
