Two escape injury in Hwy. 128 rollover crash

Two people involved in a rollover crash on rural Highway 128 just east of Yorkville escaped serious injury, according to the CHP.

Calls reporting the crash came in at 8:38 a.m. to the Ukiah CHP office.

Wenceslao Hernandez Cruz, 27, of Fort Bragg was driving a blue Dodge Dakota eastbound on Highway 128 when he fell asleep, said Ukiah CHP Officer Kylar Adams.

His vehicle began drifting toward the right shoulder of the road, and when Adams woke up and tried to correct the vehicle, it veered to the left, rolled over and crashed, Adams said. Both Cruz and his passenger were wearing seatbelts and neither one was taken to the hospital, Adams said.
