Pablo Reyes-Sanchez, 24, was arrested just after he emptied his pockets into the courthouse container as he entered the building, according to Mendocino County Sheriff's officials. Security staff noticed the drugs and summoned deputies stationed in the courthouse.

Reyes-Sanchez had about 0.5 grams of suspected cocaine, officials said.

He was booked into the county jail on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
