Letter of the Day: Frank Gore's socks

Frank Gore's socks

EDITOR: I read that 49ers running back Frank Gore disparaged the good name of the National Football League by wearing his socks too low in the NFC championship game ("Gore fined $10,000 for socks," Thursday). How dare he be so insensitive as to ignore uniform rules? Instead, his focus was on winning and getting back to the Super Bowl. It just goes to show you how selfish he is to the game that gives him so much.

May I suggest that he hire someone to remind him between plays to attend to his appearance? A $10,000 fine for low socks? Better he carry a gun, get arrested for drunken driving, parties like there is no tomorrow and consorts with trollops and freeloading parasites. Now, that is the NFL that I know.
