After-hours medical clinic opens in Santa Rosa

An after-hours medical clinic opens today in Santa Rosa, aimed at treating non-emergency ailments.

The Annadel Medical Group will open the clinic at 5 p.m. today at an office in the Mission Plaza shopping center off Highway 12 and Mission Boulevard.

Nurses and doctors will run the clinic from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends and some holidays.

The clinic will be staffed with primary care physicians and will operate much like the group's other practices, focusing on regular checkups and ailments ranging from the flu and sore throat to urinary tract infections and asthma.

The medical group, which is affiliated with St. Joseph Health and Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, aims to provide an alternative to the emergency room, which can be expensive and involve long waits.

The clinic is available to anyone and is not exclusive to patients already seeing doctors at one of the medical group's practices. People without health insurance may receive treatment for a fee.

Patients may show up without an appointment.

The Annadel Medical Group After Hours clinic is at 52 Mission Circle, Suite 121, in Santa Rosa. For more information, visit AnnadelAfterHoursCare.com.
