Pyramid scheme

EDITOR: Doesn't it seem true that every time we run out of money for this or that we find the easy solution - raise taxes or sell more bonds ("SR schools may turn to voters for more money," Thursday). Why can't we just live within our means? If they raise parcel taxes, they will never end, and when we sell bonds, we have to raise more money to pay them off. It's like a pyramid scheme; the lower we are getting in the pyramid we may never be able to get out.
