Close to Home: Dream Center requires more thinking

SAY's message, figures and promises seem to constantly change to fit the audience. Don Hack, the former assistant superintendent for special education at the county Office of Education, dealt with SAY over the years. He wrote to the Santa Rosa Planning Department, saying, "I am opposed to the Dream Center based on the simple fact that SAY will be the service provider. Their credibility has been compromised by their own decision-making and organizational behavior."

Regarding their grant applications, Hack states, "SAY was misleading and off target. Their dishonesty during this process was blatant and concerning."

The proposed SAY facility will directly affect the security, safety and quality of life of Bennett Valley residents and we want a social economic impact assessment performed.

Dr. Larry Gilbert and Charles Jensen are Bennett Valley residents.
