Pulling the sled

EDITOR: Robin Hood and Occupy are both advocates of taking from the rich and giving to the poor. The redistribution of wealth doesn't work (read Russian history). Taking from the rich and giving to the poor will not make them both equal.

Think of the economy as a dog sled. You have the lead dogs out front finding the best way through the woods, sniffing the trail and checking for danger. Then you have other dogs that just run along, not pulling the sled. Figuratively speaking, which dogs are you going to crack the whip over and get there attention? The Occupy movement thinks we need to whip the lead dogs to do more work (pay their fair share) so they (the Occupiers) can bark and protest.

No job you say. Then create one. It takes ambition and imagination. I have had some tough jobs in my time — shoveling out milking barns, picking fruit. I have come home smelling and looking like a greasy rag.

The jobs I have had have not always been the jobs I wanted, but I was always proud of a hard day's work. That is something I can admire in others willing to pull the sled every day.
