Public input sought on SMART station in north Santa Rosa

The proposed northern Santa Rosa station on the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit line will be the subject of a public meeting Wednesday at the Steele Lane Community Center.

City and transit district officials will discuss plans for the station and surrounding areas, including future development projects in the area.

The station's proposed location is at the southeast corner of Guerneville Road and the railroad tracks near Coddingtown Mall.

Wednesday's event is the second of five workshops to gather public input on the station.

The workshop will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Dohn Room of the center on 415 Steele Lane in Santa Rosa.

For more information on the project visit the city's website at http://ci.santa-rosa.ca.us/departments/communitydev/NSR_SASP.
