Authorities work to identify Healdsburg fire victim

Authorities have not yet identified the person found dead in the wake of a Wednesday morning blaze that consumed a motor home on Westside Road outside Healdsburg.

Detectives may need to use dental records to confirm the identity of the victim, believed to be a woman, Coroner's Sgt. Greg Stashyn said Thursday morning.

The body was recovered from a bed located in the charred wreckage of a residential motor home parked near a house on the property near Armida Winery, between Mill Creek Lane and Felta Road, officials said.

Sonoma County sheriff's detectives were investigating the death, though there were no overt signs of foul play, sheriff's Lt. Dennis O'Leary said.
