Pott, Rolland join Jericho Canyon Vineyard

Jericho Canyon Vineyard of Calistoga appointed winemakers Aaron Pott and Michel Rolland to its winemaking team, the company announced.

In November, Pott was named a winemaker of the year by "Food & Wine" magazine. He brings decades of experience at wineries around the world and a penchant for creating cabernets that are true to their terroir, the company said.

"Jericho Canyon is poised to become one of the great estates of Napa Valley," Pott said. "It is a dragon slumbering in its cave atop a horde of treasure that is about to be awakened and unleashed."

Rolland hails from Paris and has joined Jericho Canyon as a consultant.
