Three injured in Lakeville Highway crash

Two cars collided early Tuesday on Lakeville Highway, sending three people to hospitals, according to the CHP.

The head-on crash occurred at 1:25 a.m. near Old Lakeville Road Number 2.

One person was trapped inside their vehicle from a jammed door and firefighters cut the door to free them.

Initially, emergency officials requested a medical helicopter to transport the injured, but the three were taken in two ambulances to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and Petaluma Valley Hospital.

Injuries were believed to be moderate and minor, according to dispatch reports.
