Emergency crews cleared southbound Highway 101 in south Santa Rosa on Thursday morning following a chain-reaction crash that stalled morning traffic.

The four-vehicle crash occurred just before 8:30 a.m. near the Hearn Avenue onramp.

One person requested to be taken to the hospital by ambulance, CHP officials said.

Callers reported that a white Toyota Tacoma pickup crashed into several other vehicles, according to early CHP reports. A caller said he had to help someone get out of one of the crashed vehicles, the CHP said.

At least one lane was blocked, and debris was strewn across all lanes.

The road was cleared within about an hour.
