BRISBANE - Authorities say two people were shot as a party was breaking up in the San Francisco Bay Area city of Brisbane.

KNTV reports (http://bit.ly/29R0bHn ) Thursday that the shooting happened shortly before midnight Wednesday.

Police Cmdr. Robert Meisner says several hundred people were at a party in a field near a building called The Round House on Industrial Way when gunfire broke out.

Officers found two people had been shot, one in the arm and the other in the torso. They were taken to the hospital, the station reported.

Their names and ages were not released. It was not clear what sparked the gunfire. No arrests have been made. The case remains under investigation.
