MILLBRAE - A four-alarm fire in Millbrae has destroyed the Bay Area city's community center.

KNTV-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2abjZHS ) that the fire was reported early Thursday near the Millbrae Community center, where residents gather for art classes, meetings and an annual Easter egg hunt. The flames spread to the attic, which officials say is a challenging place to extinguish the fire.

Fire officials say it appears the fire started outside the building.
