ORANGE - A puppy that was found high on methamphetamine and heroin in a Southern California motel room is drug-free and looking for a home.

The Orange County Register (http://bit.ly/2a9ZhIC) says Bubba was cleared for adoption Wednesday, four months after he was taken to an Orange County animal shelter.

Last week, tests results finally showed that the drugs were out of his system.

Jennifer Hawkins, director of the Orange County Animal Care shelter, said Bubba made a full recovery.

The seven-month-old Jack Russell terrier-Chihuahua mix was found at a drug-littered Tustin motel room in March. He cold, listless and lethargic.

His owner was arrested on suspicion of drug possession.
