A Santa Rosa motorcyclist killed Tuesday in a collision with a vehicle was identified as Alfred Lemay, Jr. 61, Sonoma County coroner officials said.

Lemay was riding east on Sebastopol Road at Dutton Avenue just before 6 p.m. when he crashed into a passenger van making a left-hand turn in his path, Santa Rosa police officials said.

Lemay was thrown from the bike and landed in the roadway near the intersection, according to Sgt. Summer Black. He died at the scene.

The driver of the van, Teri Hoyle, 45, of Santa Rosa, stopped and stayed at the scene, Black said.
